ABOUT US
Rick Maxwell is a third generation steel erector. His grandfather and father operated the largest open shop erection company in DFW. After returning from 3 years in the military, Rick joined the family business full time. His projects included Terminal 2E at DFW airport, City of Dallas Solid Waste Transfer Bldg. and precast tilt wall warehouses, midrise office buildings and many strip centers and churches and schools such as J.J. Pearce Auditorium. One signature project still visible in Dallas skyline at night, includes the use of a helicopter lifting service to fly over 30 tons of structural steel and erect the SBS Center on top of the once, Interfirst Bank Bldg.
In 1980, Rick started the family fabrication company. His first fabrication project was a 300,000 square ft. warehouse and office for Xerox in Lewisville, Texas. Rick says anyone can fabricate a box building or a rectangle. He loves the out of the ordinary structural steel projects, such as the 60 ft. radius canopy, fabricated from 12inch radius pipe and tube, known as The Leaf. His work over the years has kept him on his toes, as most of his projects are so much more than a "box" building.
